Somehow a bit more honest looking than the newer works. The color scale looks very mature - in a good way. I like the simplicity of the composition. The rough facial expression is great and the delicateness of the bird and the shadow from the eye lashes looks really nice with it.
Oh, excellent! Is the gallery your hosting based around you publishing your book?
For this piece, it's very attractive and satirical(for a reason I don't know myself) with the luscious coloring and motif of grey and white. The skin tone and hair give a great contrast compared to most of the piece, and the addition of the little bird adds something charming as well.
Of course you should include this. I feel like these series are complementary : the Virago series is aesthetically more disturbing than your 2 last. There is a sense of temporality, the evolution of your girls ssem to coincide with your own evolution as an artist : there is this ante-plastic surgery feel about the Virago, only the soul is glowing, outer beauty is still denied to them, which isn't the case as far as the Colossus gals are concerned, these are glamorous. They aren't Pretty on the inside anymore, they (h)ate the man and they became Miss World.
